The screen went dark and then I saw someone sitting in a dimly lit room with a plain wall behind him. The man wore a mask and was hidden mostly in shadows.

“Hi,” I said in greeting. “So, what do you want to talk about?”

The man froze and then cleared his throat. “Honestly? I don’t even know. I’m not sure I should even be on this site. But I couldn’t stop myself.”

I chuckled. “That’s the way it goes usually.”

“Do you feel safe doing what you do?”

“Safe? Yeah, almost completely. I mean, I guess someone could hack in and find me and then track me down, but mostly I feel safe.” I’d thought about that a lot. Online like I did was a lot safer than turning tricks in real-life. And I never showed my face.
